Do you know someone wich could help me in getting pictures and scaled drawings concerning torpedo ladle cars which are used in Avilès steel plant (Spain) ?

These are #1 to 34 : 12 axle 250 ton capacity built by GHH (Germany)
# 35 to 37 : 8 axle 200 ton capacity built in Spain by Babcock & Wilcox starting from american design

Hi Andrea !

If interested, I have builder's drawings concerning a French very similar torpedo to the Lima-CAFL type (fast the same but without ladle mechanism cab). There is a nice view of the pouring spout opening mechanism.

I just say once more that I am very interested by getting a solution to obtain pictures and drawings concerning 12 axle torpedo ladle cars from ILVA-RIVA (Genova) and LUCCHINI (Trieste). By the way, thanks Daniele for Trieste !

Per chi fosse interessato il carro è riproposto da jouef l'ho comprato in un negozio di giocattoli per 9 euro ed è identico al lima (a parte i colori sgargianti). Molto meno di quanto costa comprarlo usato su ebay.

Scattata al volo da treno in transito.
Credo che trovare uno di questi vagoni all'esterno dei propri stabilimenti sia un evento raro.
Penso che sia delle Acciaierie di Piobino, la foto è del maggio 1987.

Ces wagons sont vraiment étonnants : ils ont un côté "rustique" typique des "wagons torpilles" américains, mais les bogies sont bien européens.

Par qui et où ont-ils été construits ? En allemagne ? Par GHH ou PHB ?


Andrea, si tu préfères, je peux réécrire ce message en anglais !

Encore mille fois merci ! Il est difficile de réaliser un modèle à partir d'une photo, mais si j'arrive à faire le modèle espagnol, je m'offrirais la fantaisie d'en faire un avec deux "cabines" comme ceux de Genova !

Après tout, la deuxième cabine n'est qu'un coffre qui abrite le second pivot.

Si je peux être utile, ce sera très volontiers !

I think that the torpedo was going for a maintenance operation (axle turning for example) in FS workshop.

It seems that this kind of torpedoes was not designed to run on FS tracks full loaded.

pour moi c'est mieux si tu écrie en française , pourquoi j'habite à la limitè de la Cote d'Azur et je comprende assez bien le française sans utiliser la tradutione;
je ne conaise pas l'histoire des ces vagones , les photos sont d'un ami

Bonsoir Andrea et encore merci : quelle superbe photo encore une fois ! Curieux l'extraterrestre au premier plan...

J'ai appris par Daniele que l'aciérie de Genova était en cours de destruction. Sur You Tube, il y a une vidéo qui montre le dynamitage d'un haut fourneau. Tout cela est bien triste.

Cela va être bien difficle de trouver des informations sur ces wagons qui m'intéressent pourtant beaucoup !

En comparant avec le type espagnol, je m'aperçoit que le modèle italien semble plus petit (le wagon espagnol charge 250 tonnes). Les bogies sont très proches (mêmes boîtes d'essieux et suspensions) mais semble avoir un empattement plus court.

Les châssis sont également plus courts : pas de guérites.

Quel bel exercice de patine pour la cuve !

L'autre photo provient d'un site que je connais bien et qui est une pure merveille : on y retrouve l'atmosphère des photos de Bernd et Illa BECHER !

A bientôt j'espère ! Et bravo pour ton français !
